Our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion enables us to
better predict our clients’ needs, understand the challenges facing
the communities we serve, drive innovation that propels our industry
forward and realize our purpose of delivering a better world.
Building diverse talent
We ensure, through our recruitment
efforts, that our teams reflect the diverse communities we serve, holding leaders accountable for our commitments and partnering with nonprofit organizations and universities to build a diverse talent pipeline for the future.
Thinking without limits
Improving social outcomes is embedded in our Sustainable Legacies strategy. Through supplier diversity, and partnerships with small- and minority-owned businesses, we prioritize social equity and impact in every innovative solution we deliver.
Enriching communities
We support communities through pro bono work, volunteerism, philanthropy and strategic partnerships.
We rally to help those in need through our local aid and relief activities, and our global employee giving and match campaigns.
Expanding understanding
We encourage respect, inclusivity and continuous learning through ED&I events, unconscious bias and inclusive hiring trainings, and family-friendly benefit policies. Our Employee Resource Groups build community, shape policies, and provide our people with forum for deeper understanding and empathy.
Employee Resource Groups
These communities ensure diverse perspectives are represented and heard to impact policies and business outcomes.
They also help our people network, grow their careers and take part in community outreach.

I am a first-gen Ecuadorian Civil Engineer within my family. My journey into engineering was deeply influenced by my parents, who instilled in me a strong work ethic, morals, determination, and the belief that a good education is essential to unlocking opportunities. As a Hispanic individual, I draw strength from my cultural heritage which emphasizes resilience, community, and a profound respect for the environment and each other. These values have shaped my perspective as a daughter, student, and engineer, and continues to guide me in my pursuit of making this world a better place.

Something I love about my work at AECOM is the project diversity. Longleaf pine wildfires, to hydrant flow testing, to 360-degree internal photography of manholes to soil surveys and GIS mapping on my couch. I’ve been with AECOM just 3.5 years and I’ve already had the privilege of such variety. I am a geologist and GIS specialist, so my areas of interest and expertise provide me a lot of flexibility in the type of projects I can support. I’m really grateful to work at a company where I’m not limited by region or business line.
